A GIANT UPSET!
Monday, February 4th, 2008So I went to Wassim’s house to watch the Superbowl. My prediction was the Patriots would win, but I was shaking my head in disbelief. Meanwhile, “Example #1 — please read previous post” had a big ‘Walmart” happy-face smile on his face. I honestly thought the game was over after Brady found Randy Moss in the end zone to give the Patriots a 14-10 lead. And after they accomplished a perfect season (18 consecutive wins in 18 games), there was little reason to suspect they would cough up the lead. But the Giants never backed down and Eli (who had Jesus on his side) brought his team back with an impossible scramble and throw down the field to some Giant receiver who leaped and caught the ball against his helmet. Then, an acrobatic throw to Burress (who predicted a victory) and the Giants had the lead again with less than a minute to go. Brady had no chance to bring his team back and the Patriots chance to accomplish a perfect season was destroyed.
